Massage Therapy for Trauma
On Demand
Trauma can be defined and experienced in so many ways: physically and psychologically. As massage therapists, we have the benefit of providing healing-centered care to our clients, many of whom have experienced trauma. LMTs themselves are often survivors, drawn to caregiving work in our own healing processes. How can we provide trauma informed and client centered massage care while also taking care of ourselves? How can we identify indications of trauma in our own behaviors and that of our clients so we can work from a place of balance to provide support and keep our practice sustainable?
