How do we support #BIPOC parents at MMBK?

@mamassage_brooklyn we support the Black Mamas Matter movement led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance through donations, information sharing, and supportive services for black mamas.

Our donation this year was made in honor of  Brooklyn mama Christine Fields, may she Rest in Power.

Our massage therapist perinatal trainings include statistics and trauma informed care communication strategies so that all our providers are aware of healthcare disparities for women of color, and so we do not perpetuate those inequities in our model of manual therapy care.

All therapists @mamassage_brooklyn who provide our client services including massage therapy and lactation counseling are sensitive to the particular challenges black women face around reproductive care and are committed to changing the paradigm.

" #BMHW24 is, above all, a week dedicated to educating and advocating for Black Mamas.Through a series of digital events and community engagement, BMHW uplifts Black women-led organizations to focus on the root causes of poor maternal health outcomes, while engaging Black voices to lead immediate conversations around community-driven policies and programs."

We invite BIPOC mamas and parents to be to book massage sessions at a discount of $40 off this week to honor this mission and so we can serve you in care.
