for Massage Therapists!
The MaMassage® Continuing Education course for licensed massage therapists provides the in-depth knowledge needed to offer safe and effective massage treatments to pregnant clients. Students will reinforce their knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the body during the stages of pregnancy. They will learn the complications and contraindications, as well as the benefits, indications, and cautions of pregnancy massage. Students will discover massage techniques, Eastern and Western, to treat common discomforts during the stages of pregnancy. The certification course comprises 24 hours, consisting of preparation and follow up assignments, as well as in-class lectures, demonstrations, and practice sessions. Participants of the course can receive certificates of both NCBTMB and NYS Continuing Education hours, as Kiera Nagle is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMTs continuing education that is accepted by the state of New York for license renewal. As a therapist, even if you have been performing pregnancy massage, you can expand the patient-centered care for pregnant clients in your private practice and give yourself an edge with employers, as the MaMassage® method is highly effective and enjoyable to both clients and therapists.
